On behalf of Prestwich AC, many thanks to all the runners who participated in this year's Challenge, and congratulations on your fantastic efforts.
Thanks also to all the marshalls and other volunteer's whos hard work (and time spent standing in the rain) made the day a huge success.
We'd love to hear your feedback - please add any comments here.
Thanks

I'm a 34 year old female who participated in the Prestwich Challenge for the first time on Sunday. I am COVERED in bruises today but can safely say that I have never enjoyed a race as much.
The rain enhanced the mud which in turn enhanced the fun. Brilliantly organised, challenging obstacles and a laugh a minute - although the sliding down that embankment on your back bit was a bit dodgy!!!
Thanks to the organisers, I'll be coming back with friends in force next year!

Was as usual brilliantly run but much tougher than previous years because of conditions - as with the post above, the down part of the embankment as you come near Sedgley's training pitches was particularly bad - literally a case of sliding/falling down with no contral as it was very hard to keep any grip on the rope - and its a long long way to slide with trees on the route and the stream at the bottom.
also, why was there an added kink on the route down to the motorway bridge from the start? that was new but it didnt seem to help spread the field out at all - if anything, it meant that some faster runners got further caught up with slower runners with less chance to overtake before the first stream run...? I normally blitz the run to the stream to avoid getting slowed down but it became largely single file from that kink

I have run the race over quite a few years now and it is a highlight of our year!! Not to be missed, even when your training has been amiss!
It is a challenge and the entry form does state 'test your endurance to the limits' , so embrace the mud. The slide is best part of the race, no ropes are required, just pick your route and go for it!!
Always so well organised and friendly marshals, great tee and goody bag. much more than a normal road race for the same price.
Bring on next year. hopefully with the return of the sun, we missed our post drink treat on the balcony.

Fantastic race - worth all the cuts and bruises!
Just wondering though - what's the difference between all the team results? The first team result and the rest.
