That 8.35 miler last night was my longest run for ages. A poor 1:15 from me in last place but at least I've got a recorded time to improve on. How did the rest of you get on time-wise?

Yeah - was a good run last night, but Dave, Paul and Rodge set a blistering pace.
I finished in 1:09:37, (8.20 per mile), which I was well pleased with, but was still well behind those three.

They must have taken it easy over weekend

How about putting together a list of training runs, distances and route maps, so that we can agree in advance where we are running and how far it is in case some people want to do a shorter run.
I was also good to hear that we're mixing training up with some hill work and fartlek training.

That would be a good idea, you can prepare yourself better if you know in advance!!

Good idea, especially as we're now confined to the roads in the evenings. Maybe our 10 most frequent routes will do for starters?

It might take some time to do, but you can create the runs in 'mapmyrun' and these can be shared runs on the website. This means that if we decide which route we are doing in advance, people can have a look on the Monday before the run to see where we're off to.
I'll have a play and let you know if it is ok.

Cheers Toby - let me know if there's anything you want me to publish to the main website. We can always use a thread on here with a poll to say who wants to do what.

I've been on map my run and it does take a long time to update and it would take a while for people to get their setting set us as friends, so maybe not the quickest way. I was looking to step it up from last week and do an 8-9 mile run. How about from the club to gigg lane (old road), then into radcliffe, up stand lane then back to the club via the new road. A bit of distance, some hill work and a few cut backs in case people don't want to do the full distance.

Sounds good to me Toby - I'd be happy to do that Monday.

Good 7.15 miler last night.
We also have a contender for the 'most dramatic fall of the year' award. How's the leg Paul?

My knee and shin are swollen and scraped, my thigh is scraped and my pride bruised. However my committment and enthusiam remain undimmed. Hopefully it should ease off and I may get out again this week!
Thanks for asking Chris

You sound like the old bloke Matthias in the Life of Brian - My legs are grey, my ears are gnarled, my eyes are poor, my nose is knackered... Hope you're back running soon, Paul

Paul did say he had a bit of man flu following on from Monday.
Get well soon.

Well done to Paul, Andy & Dave for their efforts yesterday. Any ideas on where we are running tonight ?
